What's more, the grocer is committed to sustainable practices that will nourish its customers and their families, as well as the environment.
While Food Lion works to save customers money every day in its stores, the grocer also saved more than 800 million kilowatt-hours of energy last year – equivalent to powering every household in the company's 10-state footprint for one day!
Additionally, in 2015 alone, Food Lion donated more than 83 million meals to local families at risk of hunger through its philanthropic platform, Food Lion Feeds. It is also the only grocer in the nation to win the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award for 15 consecutive years!
