Food Lion Honors Christopher Hardee with 2015 Division Store Manager Excellence Award

Myrtle Beach, S.C., Store Manager Recognized for Outstanding Leadership

Food Lion has awarded Christopher Hardee with its 2015 Southern Division Store Manager Excellence Award. Hardee, who is the store manager of the Food Lion located at 7601 N. Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach, S.C., accepted the award recently among his peers at the corporate office in Salisbury, N.C.

"This is truly an award for my associates. When I think of store manager excellence I think of my staff. My staff is truly excellent. Without them, I couldn't do it. And for them I appreciate it," said Hardee. "I can't wait to get back to the store and celebrate with them because I appreciate all they do."

Additionally to honor Hardee, Food Lion, through its Food Lion Feeds hunger relief platform, donated $1,000 in his name and store to Cherry Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Conway, S.C. The donation was made because of Hardee's leadership and commitment to the community.

A member of the Food Lion family for more than 18 years, Hardee has served as Store Manager in the Myrtle Beach, S.C., market for the past 10. He coaches youth sports in baseball, basketball and football. He and his wife Kristin have three children; 7-year-old twins Allie and Chandler, and a 10-year-old son named Bryson. Hardee has lived his whole life in the Myrtle Beach area.
