First 100 Customers to Receive Free Reusable Bag and Food Lion Gift Card Valued Up to $200
SALISBURY, N.C. – On Wednesday, Oct. 16, Food Lion will debut its newest store and shopping experience as the company opens its doors at 7905 Falls of Neuse Rd., Raleigh, N.C. 27614.
The day begins with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 7:45 a.m., followed by the store opening at 8 a.m. The first 100 customers in line will receive a mystery gift card valued from $10-$200, a Food Lion apron and a reusable grocery bag.
"We are proud of our history serving the Raleigh, N.C., community for more than 40 years. And, we’re excited to offer our neighbors another convenient location to purchase everything they need to nourish their families," said David Cooper, store manager. “We’ve completed an extensive remodel, but the wait is over. We’re excited to welcome customers into the new store to see their fresh new Food Lion.”
Customers can choose from an expanded product assortment, including in-store fresh-cut fruit and vegetables, hand-battered buttermilk fried chicken, and other new items. The store also features more “grab-and-go” meal options to help make dinner easier for customers, a wing bar and an expanded floral department and photo cake machine to help make special events memorable.
The store will also provide a variety of Food Lion’s Nature’s Promise-brand beef, pork, poultry, milk, eggs, bottled water, cereal, coffee and other items. Nature’s Promise is Food Lion’s brand of wholesome and organic products made with no artificial flavors, preservatives or synthetic colors.
In another commitment to the Raleigh community, Food Lion donated $125,000 through Food Lion Feeds, the hunger relief initiative, to Wake Tech Community College to help fight food insecurity on its campuses and surrounding communities. At the Oct. 16 ribbon cutting ceremony, Food Lion Feeds will also donate $1,000 each, or the equivalent of 5,000 meals each, to Bethlehem Baptist Church and Millbrook United Methodist Church, which will collect donated food from the new Food Lion store through the retailer’s food rescue program.
The new Raleigh store will be open daily from 6 a.m. until 11 p.m.
