Important Message on Food Lion’s Commitment to Racial Equality

At Food Lion, our value of care is at the center of everything we do. We care for our associates, our customers and our communities. And when our communities hurt, we hurt, too. 

 

Food Lion stands for racial equality. We believe there is no place for systemic racism in our world, and we will do our part to support racial equality.  

 

We will continue to develop long-term solutions by listening to our associates and customers to ensure there is equal opportunity for everyone to succeed in life. In collaboration with the other companies of Ahold Delhaize USA, our parent company, we are committing $5 million to work toward racial equality. In addition to the many other diversity and inclusion efforts underway within our organization, we will continue to work with associates and community partners to support education, advocacy and business development within the Black and African American communities in which we serve.
