Two Food Lion Leaders Named to Prestigious 2021 "Top Women in Grocery" List

SALISBURY, N.C. — Two Food Lion leaders were named to Progressive Grocer magazine’s prestigious 2021 Top Women in Grocery list, one of the food industry’s highest honors.

The Top Women in Grocery award recognizes grocery retail leaders who demonstrate excellence in leadership daily throughout the industry, their stores and in their communities. The awards honor leaders in various categories, a full list of which can be viewed here.

The Food Lion leaders receiving recognition are:

  • Linda Stiller, Director, Associate Relations

A resident of Salisbury, N.C., Stiller leads the department supporting Food Lion’s 82,000 associates across 1,100 stores and corporate office. She provides guidance to ensure the company's treatment of associates is fair, respectful and consistent with our core values and policies. Her work promotes positive working relationships and drives associate engagement to support the towns and cities Food Lion serves. Stiller and her team were critical in developing COVID-19 policies and procedures reflective of local municipality, state and federal guidelines, as well as Food Lion’s commitment to associate health and wellness. Stiller joined Food Lion approximately two-and-a-half years ago in her current role.

  • Kari Wilhelm, Director, Merchandising – Southern Division

A resident of Williamston, S.C., Wilhelm leads all merchandising efforts for Food Lion’s Southern Division, which includes almost 200 stores. In this role, she is responsible for driving sales growth, developing talent and serving as a liaison between Food Lion’s operations and category management departments. She is instrumental in developing and executing category programs and strategic initiatives required to grow the business. Wilhelm has held multiple roles in different departments across her 13 years as a Food Lion associate.
