RALEIGH, N.C. -- For the 14th consecutive year, on Thursday, October 19, as part of Food Lion Feeds Hunger Relief Day, those attending the N.C. State Fair will have the opportunity to receive free admission into the fair with a donation of five cans of Food Lion brand items to benefit the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina (the Food Bank) and its sister food banks around the state.
On Wednesday, Oct. 11, Food Lion will unveil a new, easier shopping
experience for customers in the greater Richmond, Va., market. The
company made a significant $110 million capital investment in its 71
area stores this year, which includes remodeling the stores, lowering

Food Lion has announced that beginning Monday, October 9, it will pilot its "Food Lion To-Go" grocery pick-up service at its store located at 1088 Brawley School Road in Mooresville, N.C. This new, convenient service, powered by Instacart, continues to deliver on the grocer's promise to ensure an easy, fresh and affordable grocery shopping experience, and will allow customers to order and pick up their groceries in as little as an hour.
Beginning this week, Food Lion customers can earn a $20 coupon by shopping and using their personal MVP card. This “Extra Helping of Fall Savings” promotion, which runs through Nov. 28, is a simple way for customers to watch their savings grow.
Today, Food Lion has a new way for its customers to receive personalized savings on products and categories they shop the most at Food Lion through its new MVP rewards program, "Shop & Earn."
