Food Lion Customers Raise More than $314,000 to Support Hope For The Warriors®

Customers Had the Opportunity to Make Register Donations and Attend Various Community Events at Select North Carolina and Virginia Stores

Food Lion customers raised more than $314,000 to support wounded U.S. service members and their families through Hope For The Warriors®.

“We are so thankful to Food Lion for their continued support of our military families and our organization,” said Robin Kelleher, Hope For The Warriors President. “I personally visited many of the stores during the month of August and I was blown away with the enthusiasm and dedication of each staff member and customer.”

Food Lion sponsored various community events and at register campaigns in select North Carolina and Virginia stores throughout August. The money will be used to provide a full cycle of care to service members, veterans and military families. Programs within Hope For The Warriors focus on: Employment & Education, Clinical Support Services, Sports & Recreations, and Community & Military Relations.

Last year, the “Thriller on the Griller” fundraising events raised more than $94,000 for Hope For The Warriors®.
