Food Lion to Kick Off “Thriller on the Griller at the Beach” Events to Benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals®

Organizers Planning to Raise $110,000 at 14 Food Lion Stores June 14-July 3

Food Lion will host its 11th annual “Thriller on the Griller at the Beach” event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at its store located at 3890 South Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach, S.C., to benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® in North Carolina and South Carolina.

The series of events will tour additional Carolinas beach-based Food Lion stores until July 3. Food Lion customers will have several options to support the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals®. For a small donation, customers have the opportunity to purchase lunch donated by vendors and bid on silent auction items such as bicycles, golf bags and autographed memorabilia at the “Thriller on the Griller” events. Also, customers who cannot attend the events will have the opportunity to donate funds to the non-profit organization at Food Lion stores. All proceeds will go to benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals®.

Last year, the “Thriller on the Griller at the Beach” fundraising events raised more than $100,000 for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals®.
