Grocer to Give First 100 Customers Free Gift Cards Up to $200; Donates 20,000 Meals to Local Food Pantry
SALISBURY, N.C. – Food Lion will celebrate the grand opening of its newest North Carolina store, located at 161 Crenshaw Corners Drive, in Wake Forest, N.C., on Wednesday, Jan. 31. The new store will have about 90 associates, with approximately 25 new jobs created in the Wake Forest community.
The store will open to the public at 8 a.m. on Jan. 31, following a 7:45 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony. As part of the celebration festivities on Jan. 31, the first 100 customers in line will receive a free tote bag and mystery gift card valued between $5 and $200. Also at the ceremony, Food Lion will donate the equivalent of 20,000 meals to the food pantry at nearby Richland Creek Community Church in Wake Forest, N.C., as part of the grocer's hunger-relief initiative, Food Lion Feeds.

Customers will experience a new walk-in garden cooler in the store's produce section, expanded offerings in the deli department, more organic produce and an in-store Artisan pizza bar. The store will have an expanded floral area, and deli sections featuring a selection of grab and go meals, a wing and soup bar and other new items.
Food Lion's new Wake Forest store will be open daily from 6 a.m. until 11 p.m.
